This compliance is further reinforced by the Capital Markets Authority \u2013 Code of Corporate Governance for Issuers of Securities to the Public, 2015.<br \/>\nAs such, organizations should create an open, transparent and safe working environment where workers feel able to speak up against bribery, corruption and other crimes at the workplace.<br \/>\nA whistleblowing policy and system shows an employer\u2019s commitment to listen to the concerns of workers and demonstrates they welcome information being brought to the attention of management.<br \/>\nIt creates an open and supportive culture, the worker may not feel comfortable making a disclosure, for fear of the consequences. This makes it unnecessary for staff to alert anyone externally, which can have serious ramifications and attract negative publicity.<br \/>\nSeekory assesses an organization\u2019s existing practices to determine whether they are standard.
