Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
The setting of this verse is that a man who is generous in giving to others will also be given generously with those others when he is also in circumstances of want. A man who is himself kind to others – who has that character established – will find many who are ready to help him abundantly when he is in want.
Our new South Nairobi Kajiado Field (SNKF) is in need of land for the Field’s headquarters. The fundraising for land and start of construction of offices for the Field is tomorrow – 11th July 2021. Today, the Sabbath 10th July 2021, is our great opportunity to give to this God’s course. Please, give generously today. Don’t be left out and may the blessing that comes to the giver, as stated in our pastoral message in the text today above, be yours as you give to this God mission assignment.
May the LORD give you a compacted overflow of His blessing for generously giving to His course today. Give to the church’s M-PESA pay bill no. 861200 indicating the account no. as SNKF Land and Offices.

Exodus 36:5-6 says “And they spake unto Moses, saying: The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make. And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying: Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.”
During the construction of the sanctuary which the Lord asked Moses to ask the children of Israel to construct for Him so that He may dwell among them, the people brought much more than enough. With a liberal spirit these people brought their freewill offerings unto the Lords in such a way that Moses was obliged to make a proclamation to prevent them from bringing any more. This is a rare and notable example of people so ready to serve God with their goods.
Just as the Israelites were asked to construct a sanctuary for God that He may dwell among them, you are also requested to construct for God His sanctuary by participating in the purchase of land and start of the construction of our South Nairobi Kajiado Field offices headquarters.
As the Israelites so generously contributed toward the construction of the sanctuary for the Lord that they had to be stopped from contributing any further, let us also contribute cheerfully and generously to the purchase of land and start of the construction of the SNKF headquarters offices.

Happy Sabbath Saints.
As we continue with the struggles of life it is evident that Christ return is imminent. We should utilize the remaining time and our resources to harvest souls for Christ.
The book Evangelism 114.2 says: Fields in our neighbourhood are ripe. The truth will triumph gloriously. Let the churches begin to do the work that the Lord has given them; the work of opening the Scriptures to those who are in darkness.
My brethren and sisters, there are souls in your neighbourhood who, if they were judiciously laboured for, would be converted.
Efforts must be made for those who do not understand the Word. Let those who profess to believe the truth become partakers of the divine nature, and then they will see that the fields are ripe for the work that all can do whose souls are prepared by living the Word.
Therefore, the challenge to the prayer cells is to not only meet for fellowship to self-spiritual nourishment but to also reach out to the neighbours with the Good News of salvation. Let everyone’s theme be “I Will Go”.

1 Kings 17:9-16 states “Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering sticks: and he called to her, and said: Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said: Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said: As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but a handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel: The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.”
As the Lord sent Elijah to Zerephath (in the New Testament, Sarepta Luke 4:26 and current name – Sarphan) for the mission, God has overseen the birth of South Nairobi Kajiado Field, to which we belong, for the mission.
And as the Lord particularly appointed the widow for Elijah’s sustenance (Luke 4:26), He has you, his child and others, in His churches in this new Field for the provisions and thriving of this field. And as the widow served Elijah and God’s cause in Zerephath despite her other pressing need and was sustained and blessed herself, you have the opportunity to serve for a strong start-up of our new Field for God’s mission in this field and beyond for your sustenance and blessings as well.

When a great and decisive work is to be done, God chooses men and women to do this work, and it will see the loss if the talents of both are not combined.” [Evangelism pg. 469]
“We may do a noble work for God if we will. Woman does not know her power for God… There is a higher purpose for woman, a grander destiny. She should develop and cultivate her powers, for God can employ them in the great work of saving souls from eternal ruin.” [Testimonies Vol. 4, pg. 642, and Evangelism pg. 465]
“Women can be instruments of righteousness, rendering holy service. It was Mary that first preached a risen Jesus… If there were twenty women where now there is one, who would make this holy mission (one-to-one ministry) their cherished work, we should see many more converted to the truth. The refining, softening influence of Christian women is needed in the great work of preaching the truth.” [Evangelism pg. 471]
Even as we culminate AWM week of prayer may the Holy Spirit guide all the women to wake up and take the task of ministry in the heart.

Isaiah 60:13 says, “The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
God proclaimed in this text that his future sanctuary was also to be built with resources from distant nations other than just from Israel. God also declared that He is desirous that His sanctuary and the place of His worship is made beautiful and glorious.
Between now and 11th July 2021 you have an opportunity to participating in the Purchase of land and construction of offices for our South Nairobi Kajiado Field (SNKF). Doing this is part of constructing God’s sanctuary and it has to build beautifully and gloriously.

The young man Daniel was subjected to the severest temptations that can assail the youth of today, yet he was true to the religious instruction received in early life.
He was surrounded with influences calculated to subvert those who would vacillate between principle and inclination, yet the Word of God presents him as a faultless character.
Daniel dared not trust his own moral power. Prayer was to him a necessity. He made God his strength, and the fear of God was continually before him in all the transactions of his life [SL 20.1]
The character of Daniel is presented to the world as a striking example of what God’s grace can make of men fallen by nature and corrupted by sin. The record of his noble, self-denying life is an encouragement to our common humanity.
From it, we may gather strength to nobly resist temptation, and firmly, and in the grace of meekness, stand for the right under the severest trial [SL 21.1]
May our young people endeavour to be faithful and stand tall to be counted among the saints.

Counselling is a call and a gift from God; however, the people of God have educated themselves in such a way that they have come to look to those in positions of trust as guardians of truth, and have placed men where God should be. When perplexities have come upon them, instead of seeking God, they have gone to human sources for help, and have received only such help as man can give. If as brave soldiers of Jesus Christ, they had borne their burden, doing their work with courage, with fidelity, and in faith, they would have received great blessings.
Christ has sounded the invitation, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest;” but instead of carrying their perplexities and difficulties to Jesus, as he has told them to do, they have laid their burdens upon human souls, and have looked to human beings and human counsels, and they have received accordingly; for God removes his wisdom from men who are looked up to as God. Those who occupy positions of trust are greatly injured when they are tempted by their brethren to think that they must always be consulted by the workers, and that the people should bring to them their difficulties and trials.
It is a mistake to make men believe that the workers for Christ should make no move save that which has first been brought before some responsible man. Men must not be educated to look to men as to God.
While it is necessary that there be a counselling together and a unity of action among the labourers, one man’s mind and one man’s judgement must not be the controlling power. [RH AUG. 07,1894]
God should be put first and everyone should seek first His kingdom.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9: And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
The work of guiding our children in the word of God, as guided by Deut. 6:6-9 above, is to be done many times and in diverse way.
One of those times and ways is in the Adventurers club. Let our children have maximum benefit of the Adventurers’ provisions. Have a blessed Adventures Sabbath.

The Pastorate, on behalf of the entire church, are very grateful to God and thank our Evangelistic Campaign Speakers Pr. Collins Oyamo, Sister Dr. Rose Misati and all the church members for the role each has played to make our “Hope against Hope” Evangelistic campaign a success. Thank you very much.
Newlife Seventh day Adventist church, Nairobi, takes great pleasure to heartily appreciate our brothers and sisters being baptized today following the 24th April – 8th May 2021, two weeks’ evangelistic campaign. Reflection on this day’s baptism brings to memory another kind of baptism, the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
About this baptism Ellen G White observes that “The Lord is more willing to give the Holy Spirit to those who serve Him than parents are to give good gifts to their children. For the daily baptism of the Spirit every worker should offer his petition to God. Companies of Christian workers should gather to ask for special help, for heavenly wisdom, that they may know how to plan and execute wisely…”
As we witness our brethren’s baptism may we ask God of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. [E.G. White, Acts of Apostles pg. 191]

“Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid” – Testimonies to the Church, vol. 9, p. 11.
Historic, sweeping, and unprecedented change has come to characterize the last decade of the twenty first century.
“Who could have guessed that things would change so fast?” is the question being asked by many witnesses to the unbelievable shifts taking place on the world political scene.
But what of HIV/AIDS, the homeless, the environment, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic? Are the events now rocking our globe the ones described in Testimonies as “rapid” and “final”? How close are we to the long-awaited return of Christ? What changes will occur in the church before the loud cry is given? Is there hope for us with the prevailing circumstances?
Hope against hope is our only solution.
Earth’s last hours are fast approaching. Let us accept Christ to dwell in our hearts and to work through and with us.
